COMPOSITION:\u00a0<\/strong>Each film coated tablet contains:<\/p>\n Acetaminophen\u2026.\u2026\u2026\u2026..\u2026..500 mg<\/p>\n Phenylephrine HCl\u2026\u2026\u2026..\u2026..10 mg<\/p>\n Dextromethorphan HBr\u2026\u2026\u202615 mg<\/p>\n Chlorpheniramine maleate\u2026\u20264 mg<\/p>\n DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT:<\/strong><\/p>\n DESCRIPTION OF PACKAGING:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u2013\u00a0 Box of 1 blister x 10 film coated tablets.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0 Box of 10 blisters x 10 film coated tablets.<\/p>\n WHAT IS THE MEDICINE USED FOR:<\/strong><\/p>\n NEW AMEFLU NIGHT TIME is used for:<\/p>\n Temporarily relieves the common cold symptoms: aches and pains, headache, sore throat, nasal congestion (stuffy), cough, runny nose, sneezing and fever.<\/p>\n HOW MUCH AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU USE THIS MEDICINE:<\/strong><\/p>\n Administration<\/em><\/strong>:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0This medicine is used orally.<\/p>\n Dosage<\/em><\/strong>:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Adults and children from 12 years and older:<\/em>\u00a0Take 1 tablet every 4-6 hours, not to exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours.<\/p>\n WHEN SHOULD YOU NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE:<\/strong><\/p>\n Do not use this drug if you:<\/p>\n SIDE EFFECTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n Acetaminophen<\/strong>:<\/p>\n Skin rash and other allergic reactions occur occasionally. The rash is usually erythematosus or urticarial, but sometimes it is more serious and may be accompanied by drug fever and mucosal lesions. If fever, bullae localize around the natural cavities, consider Steven-Johnson syndrome, the medicine should be discontinued immediately. Overdose of acetaminophen can lead to severe liver damage and sometimes acute tubular necrosis. Patients who show hypersensitivity reactions to the salicylates only rarely exhibit sensitivity to acetaminophen and related drugs. In few isolated cases, the use of acetaminophen has been associated with neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, and pancytopenia.<\/p>\n Uncommon, (more than 1 in 1000 people)<\/em><\/p>\n Skin: Rash.<\/p>\n Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomitting.<\/p>\n Blood: Decreased neutrophils, decreased all blood cells, decreased white blood cells, anemia.<\/p>\n Kidney: Kidney diseases, kidney toxicity when abused for a long period of time.<\/p>\n Rare (less than 1 in 1000 people):<\/em><\/p>\n Skin: Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrosis, Lyell\u2019s syndrome, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis.<\/p>\n Others: Hypesensitivity reations.<\/p>\n Phenylephrine hydrochloride:<\/strong><\/p>\n Common, (more than 1 in 100 people):<\/em><\/p>\n Central nervous system: Agitation, restlessness, anxiety, sleep problems, weakness, dizziness, chest pain, shakiness, abnormal sensation.<\/p>\n Cardiovascular: Hypertension.<\/p>\n Skin: Pale skin, cold feeling on skin, moving of body hair.<\/p>\n Uncommon, (more than 1 in 1000 people):<\/em><\/p>\n Cardiovascular: Hypertension and associated pulmonary edema, cardiac arrhythmias, bradycardia, peripheral vasoconstriction and reduced organ perfusion to these organs.<\/p>\n Respiratory: Respiratory failure.<\/p>\n Neurology: Excitation, hallucination, paranoid.<\/p>\n Eye: Release of pigment particles in the iris, blurring of the cornea.<\/p>\n Rare (less than 1 in 1000 people):<\/em><\/p>\n Cardiovascular: Myocarditis, bleeding under the pericardium.<\/p>\n Dextromethorphan hydrobromide:<\/strong><\/p>\n Common, (more than 1 in 100 people):<\/em><\/p>\n Body: Fatigue, dizziness.<\/p>\n Cardiovascular: Tachycardia.<\/p>\n Gastrointestinal: Nausea.<\/p>\n Skin: Flushing.<\/p>\n Uncommon (more than 1 in 1000 people):<\/em><\/p>\n Skin: Hives<\/p>\n Rare (less than 1 in 1000 people):<\/em><\/p>\n Occasionally mild sleepiness, gastrointestinal disorder.<\/p>\n Chlorpheniramine maleate:<\/strong><\/p>\n When used with therapeutic doses, the most common adverse effect is drowsiness, fatigue, dizziness, loss of coordination and mild anti-muscarinic effects. These adverse effects often go away after several days of treatment. Children (especially infants) and the elderly are very sensitive to muscarinic inhibitory effects.<\/p>\n Common (more than 1 in 100 people):<\/em><\/p>\n Neurology: Inhibition of the central nervous system: sleepiness, from mild to deep sleep, fatigue, dizziness, loss of co-ordination (sometimes paradoxical excitation, especially in young children, high doses in adults), headache, psychomotor disorder.<\/p>\n Anti-muscarinic effects: Dry mouth, thick phlegm, blurred vision, urinary retention, constipation, increase in gastric reflux.<\/p>\n Uncommon (more than 1 in 1000 people):<\/em><\/p>\n Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomitting, diarrhea, epigastric pain.<\/p>\n Cardiovascular: Palpitations, arrhyrhmia.<\/p>\n Skin: Rash, hypersensitivity reactions (bronchospasm, angioedema and anaphylaxis reaction).<\/p>\n Rare (less than 1 in 1000 people):<\/em><\/p>\n Hematology: Agranulocytosis, thromocytopenia, hemolytic anemia, throbocytopenia.<\/p>\n Others: Seizures, sweating, myalgia, paresthesia, extrapyramydal effects, sleep disorders, depression, confusion, tinnitus, hypotension, allopecia.<\/p>\n In case of any unexpected reaction consult your doctor or\u00a0<\/em>pharmacist.<\/em><\/p>\n WHAT OTHER MEDICINE OR FOOD SHOULD BE AVOIDED WHILST TAKING THIS MEDICINE:<\/strong><\/p>\n Consult your doctor before using this drug if you are taking one of the following medicines or food:<\/p>\n WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:<\/strong><\/p>\n If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.<\/p>\n HOW SHOULD YOU KEEP THIS MEDICINE:<\/strong><\/p>\n Store at temperature from 15o<\/sup>C to 30o<\/sup>C, in a dry place, protect from light.<\/p>\n\n
