ETC / RX - Systemic anti-infective agents - Spiranisol Forte
Spiramycin 1.500.000 IU
Metronidazole 250 mg
Per each film coated tablet.
Stomatological infections: dental abscesses, phlegmon, perimaxillary cellulitis, pericoronitis, gingivitis, stomatitis, parodonitis, parotiditis, submaxillitis.
Preventive treatment of the post-operative local infectious complications in odontostomatologic surgery.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE:
Adult and children over 15 years old: 2 – 3 tablets daily in 2 -3 divided doses.
Tablets should be taken during meals.
Hypersensitivity to spiramycin and/or imidazoles.
The first trimester of pregnancy.
Children under 15 years.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
Treatment should be discontinued in case of dizziness, ataxia, mental confusion.
History of central or peripheral neurological disorders.
Avoid concomitant administration of alcoholic beverages.
Gastric pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, urticaria, Quinke oedema, weakness, glossitis, dry mouth, metallic taste, brown-reddish discoloration of urine, temporary moderate leucopenia.
Concomitant administration of oral anticoagulants and Spiranisol Forte may potentiate the effects of the oral anticoagulants.
Psychotic reactions may occur in patients who are using disulfiram and Spiranisol Forte concurrently.
Spiranisol Forte may interfere with the effectiveness of oral contraceptive pills.
