Omeprazole 20 mg
For each capsule.
Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE:
The recommended dose is Omeprisec 20 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks.
For Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, multiple endocrine adenoma syndrome and systemic mastocytosis: Initial dose may be 60 mg (3 capsules) once daily. The dosage should be adjusted individually and treatment continued as long as it is clinically indicated. Doses up to 120 mg, 3 times a day have been administered.
For prevention of NSAIDs-induced peptic ulcer: Omeprisec 20 mg once daily.
Administer on an empty stomach, one hour before meals. Daily dosages of greater than 80 mg should be administered in divided doses.
Hypersensitivity to any component of this product.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
Symptomatic response to therapy with Omeprazole does not preclude the present of gastric malignancy.
Pregnancy and lactation.
Headache, drowsiness, dizziness, vomiting, nausea, constipation, abdominal pain, flatulence.
Absorption of Ketoconazole will decrease during Omeprazole treatment.
Omeprazole is metabolized in the liver through cytochrome P 450. It can prolong the elimination of Diazepam, Warfarin and Phenytoin.
Plasma concentrations of Omeprazole and Clarithromycin are increased during concomitant administration.
