Clopidogrel bisulphate: 75 mg
Clopidogrel is indicated for the reduction of atherosclerotic events (myocardial infarction, stroke) in patients withatherosclerosis documented by recent stroke, recent myocardialinfarction, or established peripheral arterial disease.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE:
The recommended dose is 75 mg once daily with or without food. For coronary acute syndrome: 300 mg once daily on the first day, then 75 mg once daily, in the consecutive days.
Hypersensitivity to any component of this product.
Active pathological bleeding such as gastro-enteric bleeding, retinal or intracranial bleeding.
Pregnancy and lactation.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
Used with caution in patients who may be at risk of increased bleeding from trauma, surgery or other pathological condition (such as ulcers).
Clopidogrel should be discontinued 7 days prior to surgery.
Experience is limited in patients with severe hepaticdisease, Clopidogrel should be used with caution in this population.
GI hemorrhage, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, hepatic enzymes increased, bleeding & clotting disorders.
Clopidogrel potentiated the effect of aspirin on collagen-induced platelet aggregation. The safety of chronicconcomitant administration of aspirin and Clopidogrel has not been established.
A potential additive risk for bleeding exists if Clopidogrel is given in combination with other agents that effect hemostasis such as other platelet inhibitors, thrombolytic agents, anticoagulants and agents that cause clinically significant thrombocytopenia.
NSAIDs should be used with caution in patients taking Clopidogrel.
